BLACKFIRE Scratch Resistant Clear Compound

BLACKFIRE Scratch Resistant Clear Compound

Remove deeper swirls, spots & defects in the new scratch-resistant clear coats.

This is a companion product to BLACKFIRE S.R.C. Finishing Polish designed to remove deeper (1500 - 2000 grit) swirls, scratches and defects in ceramic particle and scratch-resistant clear coats. Like S.R.C. Finishing Polish, BLACKFIRE Scratch Resistant Clear, Compound is manufactured in Germany by Menzerna, exclusively for BLACKFIRE. It is an adaptation of the same compound used at the OEM level by German and domestic automakers. Like S.R.C. Finishing Polish, S.R.C. Compound contains additional lubricating oils to allow the enthusiast to "work" the compound longer without fear of excessive compounding haze.

S.R.C. Compound is designed for machine application with either a dual-action or circular machine polisher. Most 2000 grit and deeper swirls, scratches, spots and defects in ceramic particle and scratch-resistant clear coats can not be removed by hand.

For best results, apply S.R.C. Compound with a circular machine polisher set to 1000 rpm using our CCS Technology, 7-1/2 inch Orange Power Pad or CCS, 4 inch Orange Power Pad  Jr.. These German, orange pads are used at the OEM level on ceramic particle and scratch-resistant clear coats.

Use our 7-1/2 inch Power Pad or 4 inch
Power Pad Jr. to remove swirls in the
new scratch-resistant clear coats.

WARNING:
S.R.C. Compound is for use on all, newer technology, scratch resistant clear coats. DO NOT use on pre-2005, conventional clear coats. Softer, traditional clear coats should be polished with BLACKFIRE Gloss Enhancing Polish. If you're not sure about your 2005 or 2006 vehicle, check with your dealer to see if it came with a scratch resistant clear coat. If it does have a scratch resistant or nano, ceramic particle clear coat, always use BLACKFIRE S.R.C. Finishing Polish first to try and remove the defect. S.R.C. Compound should only be used to remove deeper scratches and paint defects that S.R.C. Finishing Polish could not remove.

After compounding, the surface may have a dull, hazy finish. This is called compounding haze and is a normal result of compounding. After compounding, use BLACKFIRE S.R.C. Finishing Polish with a clean, CCS-75W White Polishing Pad or CCS-75GRN Green Polishing Pad to remove compounding haze and restore surface gloss.

Compounding Note: It is highly unlikely that you would need to compound an entire vehicle. BLACKFIRE S.R.C. Compound is best used as a spot, problem solver. Use with a CCS, 4 inch Orange Power Pad  Jr.. if removing a specific defect, like a scratch. For removing defects over a larger area, such as water spots on the hood, use the CCS Technology, 7-1/2 inch Orange Power Pad
